As We Enter Winter Equinox
We are entering the darkest night, a time of contemplation, rest and allowing the soil to settle. Where are you? Did you prepare your ground? Did you allow the space for the new planting?
Winter equinox is the time sit and contemplate, to roar the fire in the grate and watch as flickering images reflect back to you.
The seeds of last summer's crop lie deep within the ground, hiding safe and warm, waiting for the first tickle of light to grasp the soil.
As we reach the longest night, the dark days of the soul threaten to engulf. But then, then... behold, the first weak ray of the new year sunlight. It is a time to welcome back the sun, to allow her tiny threads to penetrate our depths and set alight the possibilities for the new year. A time to rest as new growth begins again. To wait breathlessly to see the start of our crop.
Yes, it is a time for rest, but it is also a time to watch, for the hopes and dreams we hold sweetly in our hearts must show their tendrils soon. I dream of your good crop.
